FAIRTIQ is public transport made easy. We are public transport and mobile experts and our vision is to make public transport more attractive and understandable to customers. This is why we developed the FAIRTIQ Mobile App in close collaboration with partners from the public transport sector. On April 28 2016, the FAIRTIQ App radically simplified the ticket urchase process in three Swiss tariff communities. FAIRTIQ has been successfully in use since then in a growing number of tariff communities and is finally usable all over Switzerland since March 2018.
FAIRTIQ is a mobile ticketing app for public transportation based on the principle of CIACO (Check In - Assisted Check Out). The customer checks in with one click before starting their journey, then he can use the whole network of the tariff community. After ending the journey the customer checks out with another click on the app. The system detects the geographical route and charges the correct amount. Thanks to the price optimization of the system, the customer always pays the most favourable price. If you travel several times during the same day and the price of a day pass is more advantageous than the price of the single tickets we charge only the day pass. And should you forget to check out, your smartphone will send you a check out reminder.
