For its 7th edition, the Forum is institutionalizing its efforts to reduce the environmental and social footprint of its activities in a robust sustainability policy. This comprises, among others, the selection of a sustainable host for the event, Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge, member of Accor Group and of its Planet 21 programme. The programme comprises, among others, the application of eco-design principles (eco-designed beds made from wood sourced from sustainably-managed forests - FSC certified, bedspreads and pillowcases made from recycled bottles, eco-certified soap, shower gel and shampoo, eco-certified cleaning products) and healthy and sustainable food (local products, food waste reduction, ban of overfished species in the restaurants). Other sustainability actions that will be carried out in organizing the Forum include the reduction of printed promotion materials (in favor of online ones) and the reduction the transport footprint of participants by promoting local public transport and, whenever possible, CO2 compensation programmes for plane tickets.
